My relationship with book trading began long before I understood what “rare” or “out of print” meant. As a child, I traded comics the way one might carry out a small undercover mission - slipping exchanges between hands, guarding prized issues like classified material, and feeling oddly important every time a deal was made.
Looking back, it makes me laugh. But that sense of curiosity, care, and quiet excitement never really left. What started as playful trading slowly grew into a deeper interest in editions, condition, and the stories books carry beyond their pages.
Today, Cloudy’s Bookery is simply that childhood habit, grown up - still patient, still careful, and still driven by the joy of finding the right book at the right moment

The listing is kept in a shared spreadsheet and updated bi-weekly. Some books leave quietly, others appear unexpectedly, so the collection may change from time to time. Book Sourcing
If you’re looking for a specific title - especially an early edition, a particular publisher, or a book that’s no longer easy to find - you’re welcome to send a sourcing request. I take on a limited number of lookups at a time, approaching each search with patience rather than urgency. Availability, timing, and outcomes may vary, but the process is always discussed openly.
There are two ways to request a book through Cloudy’s Bookery:

You may submit the details of a book you’re looking for, and I’ll see whether it can be sourced. If found, we can discuss how the book may be handed over - whether through direct purchase, a trade, or another way that feels fair to both sides

f you already have a book you’d like to trade, you may propose an exchange by telling me which book you’re offering and what you hope to receive in return. Each proposal is considered individually, with attention to condition and compatibility.
